Kuroneko Blend is just a restock.
Lately, the roastery and the roaster itself haven’t been heating up as well as they used to.
So we’re wrapping up made-to-order roasting and shifting to a style focused on selling inventory and small batches of test roasts.
Also… I haven’t been keeping up with updates, but I have been doing a bit of roasting here and there. Sorry about that.

the name comes from an old Japanese anime.
I’d been wanting to try this for a while, but the timing and my own home-use inventory kept pushing it back.
Here’s what I’m aiming for, flavor-wise:
- It’s Mandheling, but with mild bitterness → stronger sweetness and aroma
- Solid body, but not too heavy since it’s not roasted all the way to dark
- A long finish with sweet-bitter notes and a mature, aged aroma
Dark chocolate? Rum raisin? Maybe something like brown sugar?
That’s the kind of profile I expect it to have—purely my own speculation (lol).Dark chocolate? Rum raisin? Maybe a touch of brown sugar?
That’s the kind of profile I imagine it’ll have, anyway (lol).

By the way, these are the green beans I’m using.
Aged Mandheling is only available during certain periods and in limited quantities, so it’s hard to buy consistently.
And True Blue… the importer stopped carrying it 😭
Looks like this blend is going to become the very definition of a coffee that can’t be supplied steadily 😅
