I realized there was a mistake in the date on the edited image. It says August 30, but as shown on the iPod display, the correct date is August 29. My apologies for the confusion.
The Kuroneko Blend delivered its usual, reliable consistency as our staple roast.
The experimental blend doesn’t have a name yet, but the idea behind it was “a coffee you might drink while smoking a cigarette.” Of course, this is a rather outdated concept—and as an acupuncturist by profession, it’s probably the last thing I should be saying!
That said, the pairing of coffee and cigarettes—despite being undeniably unhealthy—once defined an era, and perhaps still holds meaning for those who feel nostalgic for that style. There are no plans to sell this blend at the moment (it will likely remain a “staff-only” coffee), but as part of the trial-and-error process, it was an interesting experiment.
During the tasting, I found it quite enjoyable in its own way—especially since it seemed like it would pair perfectly with a plate of Napolitan spaghetti 🤣

In addition, I occasionally roast black soybeans for myself and enjoy them as a drink.
Getting a bit of protein along with hydration is something I can recommend for maintaining good health.
