It is said that the Japanese four-character idiom Daikō Jakusetsu can be understood as the equivalent of “simple is best.”
Although the title may sound rather intellectual, I must admit I only learned of this expression today. It is not a phrase I would normally use 🤣
That said, there is something truly wonderful about the simple pairing of homemade bread and coffee.
To put it mildly—it is the best.
