9/3 Roasting Record:Panama Geisha & India Monsoon

To be honest, I was a little nervous with this roast!

The Panama Geisha (Natural) is something I had always wanted to try at least once in my life. Its flavor is truly distinctive, and I now understand why it is so highly praised by so many. In the end, it comes down to personal preference—for better or worse.
At times, I even felt as though I wasn’t drinking “coffee” at all, and I imagine that how one interprets this impression determines whether they love it or not.

As for the India Monsoon, my first reaction was simply: bitter 😁
The aftertaste lingers, while the sweetness and richness remind me of nuts, giving it a dense and layered character. On the other hand, it has almost no acidity or fragrance, and the lack of aroma personally left me wanting more. Still, it is unique in its own way, and I can see how opinions would differ on this one as well.

Tasting both reminded me once again that even if we use the simple phrase “delicious coffee,” the range of flavors within that description is vast. It truly is a fascinating and complex world.
